    Famous Places To Take Photos

There are many places to take photos and you don't have to travel overseas to find famous ones. Why not start in your own locality? Go to your tourist center for a list of places that are - or hope to be - famous. There could be wineries, museums, memorials to famous people or homes they lived in, or old buildings. You could have a famous natural landmark in your area like a waterfall, a bridge or a certain mountain range. Some forested areas have huge trees that are ancient.

If you are lucky enough to be travelling, there are many famous places or landmarks to photograph. Colorado has the Rocky Mountain National Park, with Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs to name just a few. Famous places abound. California has the Yosemite National Park amongst others, with a spectacular waterfall just waiting for shutterbugs.

If you are thinking in terms of bridges, how about the Golden Gate Bridge of San Francisco? It's only the most photographed bridge in the world! Or keep going east to catch some stunning black and white shots of Bodie Ghost Town. If you are into wildlife and don't want to chase it around the mountains, head off to the zoo. San Diego Zoo has the only pair of giant pandas in the US - surely worth taking a few shots of them. Or maybe you could handfeed the great Indian rhino at the Wildlife Park nearby - in between clicking that camera button, of course.

Overseas you have places in the middle of nowhere like Uluru in the center of Australia, a fabulous spot for a shot, especially at sunrise or sunset when the sun's red rays turn the giant monolith into a thing of mystery and awe. Then there are all the wonderful castles of Europe, with Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany being the most photographed castle - palaces in England and towers, bridges, ancient buildings and last resting places of famous people in many other countries.

Of course, fall in the US is spectacular, but Japan has some fantastic fall colors of its own. One of the prettiest is Jojakoji in Arashiyama where you will see a temple built into the mountainside, peeping from amongst the autumn leaves. It's only a 15-minute walk from JR Saga Arashiyama Station. The Buddhist temple Sensoji at Asakusa is worth a couple of shots too - not to mention the 5-story pagoda.... one could go on and on, famous places are simply waiting for you to photograph them.
