I don't have a digital camera - yet, but when I do get one, it's going to be a choice between Canon, Olympus or Samsung - they're good brand names. My computer monitor is by Samsung and it's one of the best brands you can get (for a monitor). Canon is very good.

There is no such thing as a best digital camera brand because no manufacturer has made the "perfect" camera. Each camera brand is unique and good in their own way. Alot of people think Canon is better just because of their fierce marketing but I have been really disappointed with my previous Canon digital cameras.
