I have a Sony DSC-S650 and when I plug it in it says to switch on the USB Mode hit Menu. I hit that and i go to mass storage device and nothing happens. My computer doesn't seem to read the USB either.

I'm thinking about getting a card reader, but I need these pictures now.

There are many reasons your computer may not read the camera. These are some suggestions you can try.

Plug the camera into a different USB port.
Make sure the camera is turned on and has a good amount of battery power.
If you are running Windows there may be compatiabilty issues. Right click the mass storage device and go to propeties ans change the compatiabitly to Windows XP and then hit OK. If that doesnt work try setting it to Windows 98.

Plug in the camera, then go to my computer and see if it is shown. If yes right click camera and open, if no you have a serious problem.

If you did not properly remove it the last time, and haven't shut down the PC since then it may not recognize it. Try rebooting and see if that helps.
